She believes that it is important to encourage conversations about difficult topics, as she trusts that it is through these conversations that progress and growth individually and as a society really happen. ![]() Yanna is looking forward to working in the Women’s Center because she feels very strongly about creating safe spaces within communities. It is her dream to further improve mental health accessibility in her home country, the Philippines - while creating programs that are more culturally relevant for future generations of Filipinos. Yanna is currently in the process of completing her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development. She graduated from Santa Clara University in 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology. Yanna is the Graduate Assistant for the Bystander Intervention Education Program. in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College's Lynch School of Education and Human Development, and in her free time, enjoys walking around Jamaica Pond, spinning, picnicking with friends, and finding the perfect Spotify playlist for any occasion. Kelly is currently working towards an M.A. Whether planning a retreat or having a conversation, Kelly remains committed to supporting the multifaceted needs of college students, with particular emphasis on the care and integration of the whole person. Her experience in college campus ministry includes small-group faith sharing and community building, pastoral care for youth and young adults, leadership formation, and spiritual discernment. She also earned a certificate in Spiritual Formation from the School of Theology and Ministry in 2021. from Boston College's School of Theology and Ministry in 2014. ![]() in psychology from Providence College in 2011, and her M.A. Kelly Hughes is the Campus Minister for Retreats at Boston College. More often than not, you would find Virachi strolling on the beautiful suburban roads around Boston College or trying out different cafes until she finds her go-to cup of coffee in Boston. In her role, she sees herself adopting a trauma-informed, feminist, and social justice approach. Working as a SANet Advisor resonates with her passions, motivations, and intentions to serve and advocate for survivors of gender-based violence, sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and domestic violence. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology Honors from Christ (Deemed to be University) in 2020 and since then has been contributing to the field of Psychology and Mental Health with her work at an addiction rehabilitation center, an online-counseling platform, and a non-governmental organization focusing on youth mental health, all in India, her home country. Virachi Chaudhary (she/her/hers) is a first-year international graduate student in the Mental Health Counseling program at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development. She loves to exercise, ice skate, paint, unwind with her cat, socialize with friends, and crack a joke or two every now and again. Through this work and previous others, she is interested in Social Justice and Advocacy especially for those within marginalized identities namely BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folks and feels excited to extend this passion here at Boston College. She enjoyed catering her strengths to each student and advocated for those who felt as though they did not have a voice. Prior to her arrival at BC, she had the opportunity to be a College Counselor for 9-12th grade students where she assisted in providing these individuals with resources towards receiving a post-secondary education. Teniesea resided there for the next 19 years and received her Bachelor's in Psychology from New York University, before landing here in Massachusetts to attend Boston College. She was originally born in the Cayman Islands but moved to New York City at the ripe age of 5. ![]() Teniesea Russell is currently a second year Master's student studying Mental Health Counseling.
